Easter Eggstravaganza

Despite dreary weather, our family enjoyed an Easter Eggstravaganza at our church this morning. It's a fairly new tradition - one that gathers lots of families from our community. A non-competitive Easter egg hunt, live animals, crafts, music, storytellers, and yummy snacks....fun!

M's FAVORITE food in the world is eggs. She was very curious to hear that we would be hunting for eggs. She caught on quickly and giggled with glee. She was even more excited to see that they were filled with treats! She's LOVING Easter! :-)

Big brother G was at hand every step of the way. He even got her to touch the petting animals. She has decided that bunnies, goats, and chickens are fine. Cats, however, are evil. Too funny!

Sesame Street

When we adopted M, I wondered whether she would be mesmerized by television. The exact opposite has happened. M has wanted nothing to do with tv. In fact, she loves to turn it off when the boys are watching. You can imagine how well that is received. :-)

Today, she watched her first show - Sesame Street. She began squealing "Elmo! Elmo!"

I used to think that television was terrible for children. Now I think one hour of television is preventive medicine for the parent! A little sanity time for the mom. Go, Sesame Street!

Raising Up the Next Generation

So R WAS way into the game yesterday. In his free time he's been training the next generation "in the way they should go." Carolina Blue, that is. :-)

Where D'Ya Get a Hat Like That?

M decides to dress for breakfast. Aside from getting a grin from Baba (who is NOT a morning person!), she brought a smile to all of our faces because this is the FIRST time M has dressed up in a silly way since joining our family. She's been scared of her dress up box...although not of her play shoes and purse!
