A Second Kayak!

Last night, we became a two kayak family, and I’m VERY excited. My wonderful wife bought me a Kayak for my 30th birthday, and I’ve been enjoying that ever since. It’s got an “open cockpit” so I can fit one of our smaller children in front of me (or go solo.) The last couple years, my two older boys have outgrown that spot and have taken the kayak out on their own.

So….we’ve been thinking that we’d like to get some more kayaks. It’s so fun and peaceful, and good for you! My wife has been checking out “Craig’s List” and found what seemed like a good deal. I went out yesterday to check it out and ultimately brought home a second kayak for our family. It’s a little grungy looking, but I’m pretty confident it will float. :-) I’m so excited! We can now get half of the family on the water at once! Me +one of the little ones in mine, and one of the older brothers, or my wife in the other. Cool!

Also…..I’d LOVE to take someone else out on the water some time. If you, dear reader, have a desire to go kayaking with me sometime–just let me know! It would be fun!
