Yesterday was another Transfusion Day for M. We wondered how it would go since last time she had her first difficult day at the hospital pulling cords, pushing the wrong buttons, winding up the iv line, etc. I'm happy to say that M was back to her super sweet self and was lovely to be with. We shared more sweet moments than I can recall.
At one point, she was lamenting her latest ouwie. She folded her little hands and whispered to me, "Pray, Momma." I wasn't certain of what she was saying at first. She had never initiated prayer like this before. "Pray Jesus, Momma," she said again and closed her eyes and waited with expectation.
I cried.

Mother's Day Tea Party
Today M and I enjoyed our first Mother's Day Tea Party. What FUN! All the little girls were dressed up. M spent a long time last night picking out what dress she would wear. She would NOT consider a yellow one. "No yellow." Then she made the gagging face she makes when she tastes something she doesn't like. Apparently, pink was THE color for the day. She donned her white leather shoes and pink tights for the day, too.
She even said "Appy Overs Ay" and gave me a hug. Melted my heart!

Band Concert
Last night, N had his Spring band concert. It was great! He even had a trumpet solo during one of the Jazz Band songs. Unfortunately, we have no pictures as we turned the camera on and the battery died. :-(
On the third song, I (J) made the mistake of asking M what song they would play next. She was getting a little restless since it was her bedtime. She squealed "ABC's!" and proceeded to SING her version of ABC's quite loudly...over and over and over...until I finally had to take her and stand in the back.
Her version goes like this, "ABCDEFI, EFI, EFI...sing with M!" On the last part, she stretches her arms out dramatically and uses a silly stage voice. Wonder who's teaching her to be dramatic???
