J is loving his summer time on our town's swim team. It's his first year and though most on the team have been swimming competitively for two or three years already, he's catching up! In fact, last night he had the lead in the backstroke until the turn. He doubted his turn technique for a moment and ended up in the middle of the pack in the end. He's so sweet to cheer on. When he finishes he says, "Mom and Dad! I broke my personal record!" To him, it's not about taking out the others, but doing his best and having fun. His relay team event took second place last night!
