Haircuts

Tonight I was trimming up the boys' hair. Why does it always grow faster in the summer? M saw the razor and instantly asked, "Me too, Mommy?" The last time I cut the boys' hair she immediately put her little head upside down, assuming what I presume was her "position" in China for haircuts. It was routine practice for all of the little girls to get their heads shaved in the hot months. I tried to explain that girls get their hair cut with scissors, but she was sad. Yet another time I wish I could've been a fly on the wall in her former life....

End of the Year Party

Our Kindergartener is almost done for the year! We can't believe how fast the time has flown since he first stepped onto the big yellow bus. Today he and all his buddies gathered for a pool party, complete with popsicles. Even the bus driver came to enjoy the fun! What a nice group of children they are! We're glad he had a good time; we're also glad the party is over as he couldn't sleep for two days because he was "so excited!" :-)
