We missed you at 5:30 PM today. Had you been here you would've enjoyed N practicing the trumpet for an upcoming audition WHILE J practiced his bass for upcoming lessons WHILE G ran in and out of the house calling for help to find his cleats WHILE M played her VBS CD on full volume WHILE singing and dancing along
WHILE
R napped on the sofa.
Can someone explain how this is humanly possible? :-)

The Problem with Raising Healthy Kids
The problem with raising healthy kids is that when you finally succumb to your weak will as a parent and purchase your favorite candy on earth - the kind that only comes once a year that you actually successfully AVOIDED for all of 2009 - and you eat said candy, your child will find you eating more than you should and will actually say, "Mom! Don't eat all of them! They're bad for you! They will kill you!"
Boy Logic
Last night, I came outside because it was just too quiet out there. Parents of boys, you know what I mean. As I came out I heard, "Do you think I can make it onto the roof?"
Yeah.
I now RUSH to the lawn while using my best commanding mother voice to say, "I don't think so!" just as J's leg and two arms are halfway out the window.
I march upstairs and find the offender. His older brother was going to do it first. Then, apparently, decided he would get in big trouble. So middle brother decided he would go for it. "Did you even STOP to think about how dangerous it was?!"
"Well, sure, mom," he replied, "But Noah's window is way more dangerous than mine. It was much safer to climb out of mine."
Boy logic.
After writing "I will use my brain" 100 times, he decided that maybe (maybe) he would not climb out of any more. We shall see.
Yeah.
