One of the boys' FAVORITE things to do is climb the tree in the front yard. It's perfect. It's so perfect that when ANY boy comes to our house, it's one of the first things they do, too. It just screams "adventure."

Yesterday, I was able to capture my three pirates in the tree just hanging out. As I was taking the shot, little M purposefully marched up to the tree shaking her finger at her brothers.

"Get DOWN! Ouwie!" she said clear as day. I guess her English is coming along.

Earrings, too?

It's Spring Break here. You wouldn't know it from our weather. Three straight days of rain and cool temps. It's enough to drive a home with four young children crazy! We ventured out in a downpour today to see if we could find a diversion at Michael's. Behold, the dollar aisle!

The boys spied treasure instantly. Practical joke kits! Fake teeth and mice, rings that squirt water, you name it. Cheers from the men! Shouts of victory and plans for who to "get" first followed quickly by plans for who to tell about their find first.

And Miss M? She instantly spied the princess section. Delighted giggles and begs to hold the princess pigtails, headbands, necklaces, pens, purses, and more. It was obvious that we would not be leaving the store without something princess. Normally, I don't indulge instant gratification shopping (unless it's me in a Starbucks window, but that's beside the point)...today, however, I gave in. One dollar. One HUGE smile. She opted for the stick-on princess earrings and gaudy fake rings. "Same Mama" she said, pointing to my wedding ring. LOL!

I'd have taken a picture of the boys with their treasures, too...but they wouldn't hold still long enough. Now I know why...there's a fake spider on my toothpaste tonight! BOYS!

The Girl Among Us

Miss M begs to paint her nails...Tinkerbell Purple. She was tinkled pink and loved that Baba took a picture of her with beautiful nails. By the way, she insisted that J paint hers, too. J politely insisted on a more mature shade of plum. :-)
